Kid Aprons and Super Saturday FHE Project

I took on a FHE board project for our Super Saturday Craft Day. I love how it turned out. I had a ton of people sign up to do them and they all turned out so great. I wish I would have taken more pictures of the other projects that we did. It was a great day, but Tanya and I are happy that it has come and gone :) Bring on the Holidays!

I made these a while ago and never had a chance to post them. I made them out of placemats and Carter loves it. I tried to make them as unisex as possible and well I think that it is hard to make an apron unisex. Here is Carter and a buddy posing for the picture while we were making cookies.

Nursing Cover

I've made so many of these over the past 2 years, and I finally made one for me. I love this fabric because it is so unique. It will get a ton of good use :)

Carseat Canopy

I love this. I am trying to make Carters stuff work for a girl and I think it is turning out pretty cute. I need to add some bows or flowers to this canopy, but I love the fabric. I added the zipper to help make it easier getting the little one in and out of the seat. I've never made one before so I love how it turned out.

BUSY, BUSY ME

I've been working on the baby bedding. Here is what I have done so far. I'll post pictures of the room when I'm done with it.

BIRTHDAY COOKIES

Ok so I have to give credit to my Mother-in-Law. She makes the best sugar cookies. I made them for Carters birthday party and they were a hit. Melt in your mouth. Here is the recipe for anyone who wants to try the best sugar cookies ever.

SUGAR COOKIES
1 C butter
1 C shortening
1 C powdered sugar
1 C granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 t cream of tarter
1 t baking soda
½ t salt
4 ½ C flour

Cream together butter, shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients and add creamed mixture. Mix well, roll dough out to ½ inch thick, bake at 350 for 10 min until light brown. Make sure not to over bake. They should not be hard. Store in the fridge.

Carters Birthday Pics

It was so much fun decorating for his birthday. Even though it was in July, I had to post some of the fun pictures. We celebrated his birthday in Oregon, but we also had a little birthday party for friends. He loved blowing out the candles. We lit a candle for his friends to blow out too. It was good time!

Multnomah Falls

Carter found a little friend at the falls. The little guy wanted to copy Carter and he loved it.

Chad, Carter, and Dad posing for the camera. It was so pretty at the falls. It was Chads, and Carters first time visiting the falls.
